...a saree clad indian woman will no longer be scared of getting onto an escalator. i am making this statement at the risk of sounding too snooty. but i seriously feel so. i spent a little time this afternoon at a pretty upscale mall. i made some interesting observations which made me feel that though india is way ahead of the US as far as mobile technology is concerned, however, it's still gotta do some serious catching up. i saw this bunch of young college going girls and boys looking at a chocolate fountain in a store and looking seriously amazed. i am not saying that i am the most learned indian on this earth or the one who's seen the world more than anyone else has seen. but still... and the most common scene that i see each time i go to a place where there's an escalator. my mom does it too. she too is scared of getting onto an escalator. even today at the mall, this lady just refused to get onto the escalator. the young boy with her coaxed her a lot, almost looking ...
